Default Michiganwhitetails takes youth to the woods with BOW

Hey guys...great post earlier from VAbowman.(POST - Who have you learned some real stuff from)....

Hello out to Schultzy, GMMAT, DUBBYA, XXXXRory, rob/pa bower...heck.....what up to all!!!! southdakota...all you brothers...

Michigan brings a post out tonight....Bring a youth into the woods with a bow!...I raised Eric who is (1 of 3 boys) fromthe land owner of the 550 I hunt in the thumb of Michigan...

I took Eric under my wing in 2002. I made him hold the video cam in preseason scouting...I taught him to walk in my footsteps...I taught him to squint his eyes on a deer at 5 yards....he's an up-and-come-er and he made me proud last year with his first buck....I could lay all the equipment down and grab a camera for the rest of my life for moments like this......

Schultzy - This ones for you.!!.

Here is Eric and I...thats me on your right....I think you know who is not the 14 year old...Cherished Memories..!!!

SHOW ME YOUR YOUTHS GUYS!!!!& GIRLS

Brian W.

Well mine isn"™t exactly a youth, but it is someone that I helped get turned down the path of the stick and string"¦. Let him borrow my backup bow/arrows/etc., helped with strategies and so on. After just a few sits he arrowed this deer "“ needless to say he"™s now hooked and is buying his own bow/gear this year"¦

Hey Michigan, I truly understand about the pic's. I thought I would share another that shows how good she is at 5 with her little cheapie bow. Just b/c we have girls don't mean that we won't have awesome hunting partners, shehasalready got the form down and is pretty dang good with the long bow. I have a little compuond for her that she will start shooting this year, however I doubt she will be able to pull 40lbs for another couple years (that is the requirement by law to hunt with a bow here in Texas).

I wish I could hunt with my son. Ya know the old divorce BS. Hey Brian, my ex lives about an hour from you, maybe you could go knock some sense into her with that long bow of yoursMy son is a hunter. He has that drive. You can see it in his eyes. If I could turn him loose in the woods with a bow I know he would whack & stack

Damn guys them are some cherished pics! My little girl is only 8.5 months old. I don't think I'll be able to get a bow in her hand yet, heck she can't even walk yet. One never knows though!! Back to your post Michigan, your doing something for another family's kid, that right there spells respect in the highest form!! My hats off to you buddy and everyone else who does this!!!

I took a friend of mine out for thegun season opener... And he shot his biggest deer ever - in the Allegheny National Forest.

And I took this youngfella out on the last day of gun season... He shot a whole box of.243 ammo and finally got one with his last shell. LOL He's lucky he connected with that shot - or I was gonna hand him the .300 WBY and make him start shooting with that. It would've probably knocked him simple.
