Well I have had better weekends. I got out to the new land on Friday afternoon and did some low impact scouting. I saw tracks but no birds. I couldn't roost anything so I just went to bed to try in the AM. Saturday came and I got out an hour before dawn. I soon had a couple of birds gobbling and got set up. I didn't see anything until about 8:00. And then I was coughing so bad that I think I could be heard 300 miles away in Dallas. Needless to say those birds didn't come in.
I have a horrible upper resperitory infection. I packed up and came home Saturday afternoon and spent Sunday and Monday in bed. I'll get back after them later in the season.
Aw man, what terrible timing. That stinks. I had that about 6 weeks ago, and was sicker than a dog. Fact of the matter is, I'm still coughing. Hope ya feel better bud, and better luck next time.
