I don't have any real experience with Martin, but your post got me courious. This bow has an ATA of 30 1/2", a BH of 7" and an IBO speed of 320. The bow is a little short for my taste, but I like an ATA of 36" or higher, but that is just my personal taste. The IBO speed looks good, and there is nothing wrong with a 7" BH. I went out to www.huntersfriend.com to get the specs and they gave the bow a really good write up. They noted hand shock was very minimal and it has an amazingly smooth draw. Sounds like it would be really good bow. Here is a link to the write up.

I briefly shot one about a year ago. Real nice bow. Reminds me of the Bear Instinct.

Could be. I don't recall the IBO of the Instinct (308?), but the Martin bow certainly didn't seem slow by any means. First three arrows out of a totally unfamiliar bow were almost touching at 20 yards. Left me with a good impression
