Default I have a newly found respect for shed-hunters.

I just got back from out shed hunting and I now have a newly found respect for you. Especially those who go out consistantly and find them. I walked for 4 hours and diddnt find a dang thing!! found some other neat stuff but nothing hunting related. Except for a fresh steamy pile of crap. Which I couldnt figure out what type of an animal had just dropped that steamer until about 15 yards up the trail where I found a monster set of bear tracks I left that place in a hurry!

Ryan.

You are from PA. Remember, in order to produce sheds, bucks need to live long enough to drop them. The more bucks that are dropping them, the "easier" they are to find. Even with the AR's we still don't get many bucks out there that are living long enough to drop.

Living in Missouri we have a lot of sheds. I'll shed hunt my butt of some days and get lucky to find one. I think some people have an eye for them and others don't.

rybo is right on....and, the ones that do get to drop are usually small and harder to spot!!!

ive never found a shed in my life...if im not hunting somthing im scouting or fishing if i got time to make it outside...and i make it outside as much as humanely possible without upsetting my grades or life...

this is what your lookin for though

27" main beam..6" base about the burr, the g1 was 8-10", the g2 was 10 or 11, and the g3 was 8-10"(forget the exact measurements i had..) IF the other side was identical, he would score 160-170ish as an 8pt!

buddy found it in flintlock season..it was fresh..still had hair on the bases..we have permission to hunt some farms only in flintlock season...the owners are "trophy" hunters and dont care if we come down in flinter season...there is a park in the area..im going to take a stab in the dark and say the deer live in the park and come to the corn fields and bean fields at night to eat...and flinter season when we are the only pressure...if we cant keep them going the right way in the drives, they run right to the park...untouchable in there unless you bowhunt....i think i need to go do some scouting and get the OK to bowhunt in the park...and hope the farmers allow me as well so i can hunt where the farms border the park...i might be into something good...
