I would say they hit a homerun with this one.

Honestly, I don't see the point. I'd rather use ladder sticks and a loc on.

BUT, as far as ladder stands, that indeed does look like a home run.

Looks like it would take an army of illegal immigrants to drag that bigass thing out into the woods and set it up. But, I guess if you didn't throw your back out carrying it in, or scare every animal within a 5-mile radius getting it installed, it would be pretty decent. It's too big for anyone to steal, so... LOL

The girl on the video was pretty hot, so that was a plus.

Final Score: 0 (useless)
Treestand too big for anyone else to steal: +5
Hottie in the video: +5
Giant skyscraper contraption: -10

Looks too heavy to carry around and I do a lot of moving and walking.

I picked up the 18' version of that stand after this season ended on sale from our favorite penile sounding retailer. It really isn't that heavy (65 lbs.) and I'll use my game cart to get it into the woods. My plan is to set it up for archery season and for opening day and Tuesday of gun season.

Fran, I had the same concerns as you, but it really isn't that bad of a set up and Ameristep came up with a pretty smart design.

I agree, all i use is a lone wolf and climbing sticks, but for the ladder guys, this is the best i have seen.
