Summit Viper (or that type) climber.

23' on a normal hunt.

I'm going 12' or so for the early season with the longbow.

Jeff, I've been looking at the Summit Viper and thinking about getting one for my climber. At 259 it looks like a good deal? How is it to carry around, climb up the tree, and comfort wise?

Thanks, Ron

My longest walk in is .7mi.

It's never been an issue at +/- 20#'s. I can set it up quietly....and I can get to 23' in about 8-10 "cycles" on the way up.

Once you've done it as many times as I have (I hunt almost exclusively from the climber....and have ascended/descended in it about 120 times over the last 3 seasons) you work out a pretty good "system".

I'd highly recommend this stand to anyone.

Mine are all home made portable metal Hang ons. Depends on the tree or set up but they can all vary from 8' to 20' up.

Several different kinds of stands, but usually 15-20 feet up.
