Default where to hunt.

If you had a to choosebetween 500 acres of mixed crp, farm ground and swampor 80 acres of hardwood forest to hunt what would you choose and why (deer population being equal). I mostly bow hunt but love to bust out the smokepole also.

Objection, Your Honor! Speculation. We have no idea of the gentics of said farmland giants, or hunting pressure, or age structure.

I'm going w/ more ground. More ground = more options. Swampland on said ground? Oh yeah, I'm there. Mixed CRP, farmland, swamp and woodland? Man alive, how much better habitat could there be??

I'd take the 500 acres! Good cover in the swamp, and good protein in the fields! i'd love to hunt there

I have 500 acres in the thumb of michigan...300 woods and 200 crop....I'll take the farmland..

However...You guys in Illinois, Iowa, Wisc or Minnisota...if you want to have me out for a weekend I would love to share a cocktail and a blood trail with you..... I'll bring my cam with the wireless mics..
