Default Letting bucks walk.....

I'm just curious, how many of you havehunting land that allows you to let a legitimate 140" buck walk. I've been hunting for a long time and can honestly say that I've only seen 1-2 legit bucks of this caliber. So needless to say if one comes within range I'm flining a arrow at him.

Well if the shots good I'm taking it, but the rack, in no way, determines the availability of a shot.

I've never laid eyes on a 140" buck in the wild.

I'd have a hard time letting a 100" buck walk if it was 3.5 yrs old. I've seen 2 in the wild that would go 100" in NC. The next one down from those two would not go 70".

So.....nope.

In the past6-7 years there have only been 2 deer of that size taken on our property, so if another one offers a shot to anyone you can bet they'll take it.

We don't go by inches of antler when selecting deer to harvest on my farm. We try and select deer by age. Most of the time though a 140" deer is a 3.5 year old and more than likely a 4.5 year old so those deer are not often allowed to walk. I have never taken a deer that big so he would be a dead deer walkin if he were to come by me!!! Assumming the shot connects!!!

I'd let him walk.....until he was within range and broadside, after that hopefully I would be sending him on his "death run".

No, I don't hunt any land that I would be letting one that size walk.

Assumming that my shaking wouldn't bounce the arrow off of the rest, I'm shooting.
