New to hunting
Hi everyone. I'm an Army spec op soldier looking to get into hunting. I have a lot of experience with various firearms/rifles, but I'm interested in trying to do bowhunting. I've shot bows before, but none of whichwere high performance compound bow types.
What are the benefits of bowhunting? Pros and cons versus hunting with a rifle, or a handgun for that matter? Are you severely limited on range, power, and type of prey? How about range practice - is it easier to find a range for rifles/guns? Or forget that and just practice in the back yard?
I've never owned a bow or rifle/handgun before, despite my extensive training. Although I do have about 20 large knives =)
Any tips, advice, or comments would be much appreciated. Thanks.
