Broadheads and inserts

I wentto get some new carbon arrows today and learned something I have never done or tried before. While glueing the inserts a broadhead should be screwed in and glued to where the blades and vanes should be just slightly offset counter clockwise.

Is this really a fact? I usually shoot mechanicals so it is very similar to field point. Does a fixed blade really have that much of effect on the spin from the vanes?

I may be switching to Muzzy or G5 Strykersfixed BH this archery season, so should I take this into consideration?

Yep...the fixed blades need special attention...another reason why I like mechanicals...

im going to have to say.....myth!!!!!

ive shot a random variety of fixed heads, fieldpoints, and mechanics from the same bow on different arrows with the blades oriented in random ways...i still hit where i should have.

the key is having your bow tuned well enough to shoot fixed heads...and having enough fletching and a good offset or helical to help steer the arrow..

I'll buy that answer too...I don't know enough about fix blades...killed with them but like Mech. for the low maintenance.

Blade to fletch orientation means absolutely nothing. It's been shown time and again.

exactly this is a myth that they have to be in a certain position but many will line them up just because it looks cool and it won't hurt the flight.
