OK, I thought I'd give you all plenty of notice. Myself and mobow along with a few guys from his shop are all going to a 3D shoot next Sunday. It will be at the Alton VFW Farm, outside of Alton, IL. Registration starts at 8:00 and goes till 1:00. Not sure what time we will get there yet. It's a pretty good haul for them.
I have shot here a few times and it's a fun shoot. Nothing over 40 yards, most are 20-30 yards. However there are a few shots around a lake that are quit intimidating. There are always a few arrows floating. Most shots are in the woods in hunting situations, with a few open field shots. They usually have 40 targets and have burgers and brats to munch on.
Hope to see some of you from the area show up for a good time next weekend. I'll try and get a time when we will be there as soon as Don is able to think straight after his birthday celebration tonight.
Hey Momighty, are you staying dry down in your neighborhood?
Yea. If it floods were I live now the whole world might be in trouble....lol I live in one of the highest points in Eureka. I did go to my old subdivision last night, which is across from Eureka High school on HWY 109, and help sandbag and and run shop vacs and stuff like that. My old house had water pouring in the walk out door like a faucet was running, even tho it was boarded, caulked and sandbaged. Luckily, the water went down today quite a bit.
