Default How many hunters do you have around you

Are you faced with other hunters around you on the land you hunt?

Here is my situtation:

Thumb of Michigan-

500 acres - 10 at the most at any given time

Southern Michigan close to home -

17 Acres - Just me
80 Acres - 3 at most any given time

In my back yard

1 acre- Offering a good line of grey/fox squirrels and chipmunks at high volume. .177 cal pellet gun / Benjemin Sheridan fully equipped. Baited Frequently.

No hunters but a lot of outlaws and poachers and jack lighters.[&:][&:]

Way too over crowded for my liking on the public land in which I hunt in Jackson. If you have any good ideas for me,please let me know!

My brother and I share 130 acres that my dad owns. The surrounding properties have a few bow hunters but mainly its just gun hunters in the section we hunt in. The state land gets pounded pretty good from the bow hunters from what I can tell when I'm driving by.

LOL

My area looks like a circus especially after small game seasons open
The farm I hunt is literally a ston'es throw from the state land border
I have guys everyday of the season doing what they can to mess things up. I've been peppered with birdshot in my stand, I have tresspassers about every 3rd hunt, plus 2 other guys hunting the property as well in bow season.
In rifle season no less than 15-18 guys hunt these 50ish acres.

Everything around here gets stomped into a mudhole. State land is downright frightening, and any private land you can get on is generally being shared by a dozen guys each season.

Even my private archery club grounds will see roughly 10-20 guys on any given Saturday on our 97 acres.

Anywhere from 2-4 other guys on a 160 acre tract.
Sometimes 3 others on another 80 acres.
Various other properties sometimes 1 or 2.

If nobody is there when I arrive I hunt there, if somebody is already there I go elsewhere. I love hunting mornings during the week, usually have it all to myself.

I have the sole lease on 3 different properties, almost 400 acres. I bring my buddies, when they can get away and hunt, but usually its me solo in the woods. I keep the main entrance chained, and posted signs up, but there will always be trespassers during gun season from the clubs that hunt on the bordering land.

I get the pleasure of escorting them off!
