Default HOW OLD?

My post on "bowhunting years left" got me thinking about my sons getting to bowhunt, but not until they are 12 here in Idaho.. and they have to pass a bowhunters saftey course..

My ? is..

How old does a person have to be in your state/province to bowhunt and do they have to pass a course?

Here in WI its 12, in Ontario its 16 for non-residents to hunt and I don't know what age for residents.

in maryland i dont believe there is an age...jus need your hunter saftey course

12 years old here also. You also need a hunter ed certificate too.

There is no requirement in OK...just need to pass a hunter's safety course to get a license

In Texas there is no age limit but the hunter has to be hunting with a bow that is at least 40lb draw weight and yes they have to have a hunters safety course if they were born after 1969 or 1970.
