Default A Worthy Opponent.... and a Long Lost Shed..

In lieu of all the recent chest bumpin' and thumpin' lately.. on who is the greatest hunter in the world of HNI...

I decided to bring it back down to earth.. get back to the basics.. and talk whitetail.

Last evening (Thurs. Mar. 21st) my wife was able to find her first antler. A long lost treasure of the most documented buck I have ever been able to encounter and Justin (and pa) hunted for several years together.

The antler goes back some 4 or 5 years.. and belongs to a past field journal of mine on a buck I so cleverly called Mr. Buck. Although he was never a giant.. he lived a charmed life.. and with 3 trailcam pics. (all from JZ) several encounters by Justin and his dad.. 1 by me in 2003.. and about 4 or 5 sheds off him.. (all in about 5 years) he's been indeed a buck who just wouldn't be taken. The S.O.B.[:@]

(Editors note.. my wife will kill me if she see's this post)

Great story! I"™ve had a couple of bucks that I really targeted and pursued over the years, so I know the feeling"¦. Some of those old guys are just soooo smart! Of course a couple of mess ups by me over the years sure helped their cause

Ah, Mr. Buck, the bane of my hunting existance.[:@] What hath happened to thee? Upon whose wall does your head now hang? Or do your bones lay wasting away in the depths of the marshland? We may never know......
