Default Barred 4" feathers. Where to buy?

I'm going to feathers for my hunting arrows in 2008. I like the looks of the barred feathers......and I assume 4" is plenty.

So.....what cut is optimal and who makes the preferred feather people are using, today? I'm using Gateways on my trad arrows....but someone mentioned another mfr. that people were leaning towards, today.

Thanks

I'm not sure where you can order them or the specific brand you want but 4" is plenty. I always get mine from the shop I go to and I love them. My buddies alway ask why I have always shot feathers and the answer is very simple, barred feathers just look cooler.

Well I don't know if you would be interested in this after the past few days, but, Dan, MeanV, sells feathers.

IMO, TrueFlight feathers have a lot better, thinnerand more consistent base grinds than Gateway. I only buy Gateway if I have to. Only problem is TrueFlight doesn't make natural bars, that I know of.

Didn't know MeanV sold feathers too. Thanks for educating me, Tx!

I get mine at the shop I frequent. I like the shield cut barred, very sharp looking. The shield cuts look WAY better than the parabolics.

I will likely be getting my feathers from MeanV in the future also. Very good prices.
