Default Sheds 3-16-08 ya another one

First day of the bow season, I had 3 bucks within 20 yards, that in previous years, I would have considered all shooters (all 3 were at least 3.5 year olds). Well one of the bucks didn't make it past the opening weekend, one of the guys we hunt with took him Sunday evening, ended up being about a 147 10 pointer. I had this one at full draw at about 15 yards, didn't take the shot.

I will call it the 2nd buck, I saw him on the 2nd to last day of late season for archery (which around here is also the end of the deer season) This one was with the above 10 pointer, he was at about 5-6 yards at the time, nice, super heavy, mainframe 8 with junk including a split G2 on the left side.

The last buck of this trio of deer I saw, well, had him at 15 yards, good angle, full draw, then again at 18-20 yards, drew twice on him, total time by me about 10 minutes.

Saw him again on the last day of bow hunting before gun season opened. Last time I saw him, thought he was gone until....

Thought this might be half, but wasn't sure until....

Yup, this was one of the guys that I chose not to take a shot at in the hopes he would make it through the season and he did, pretty jacked about this. Can't wait till June-July comes around to start doing some long range scouting on some local fields....

For our area, this is usually about as big as they come.......Hoping he don't play in the road this spring, cars and trucks are not nice to the deer in our area either.....

Compared them to some of the other sheds I have found this year, not the biggest, but I am still pretty stoke about seeing one of the deer that I 'let go' up close and personal.

Hoping I can find the other set from the one that I saw that day, and a very large 8 pointer I saw on the last two days of the late bow season, probably the largest buck I have ever seen on the hoof, except he had one antler broken off, probably pushing around 140-150 as an 8 pointer, if he would have been symmetrical and had both horns.

One more picture, shows in different tips on the ends of these antlers.

Man, I'm getting sick and tired of seeing that washing machine and that one dollar bill doing all that posing. Share the love, come on.

That new shed is way cool. I've never seen anything that rounded out.

I'm jealous.
