Default Bow with only 4" of drop from 0-32yds.

I heard a guy say that his bow was only 4" off between 0-32yds. I asked for a clarification, and he said he was dead on at 0, 2" high at 17-18, and dead-on again at 32 yards holding the pin dead on the bull, no hold-over or under. I call BS, anybody else???

I even gave him this link: http://home.att.net/~sajackson/ballistics.html , which is pretty true to my set-ups and he still holds strong to his claim.

Its easy to call BS due to the fact that if he was really dead on at 0, he would be extremely high out to a very long distance. If he was 2" low at 0, then that would be the +/- 2" or 4" difference he was talking about. My setup seems to be (within my accuracy limitations) about +/-3" to 25ish yards. That is with one pin, I can stay within a 6" circle to about 25 yds.

Are you sure he wasn't using more than one pin? What was his setup? Mines not special, so maybe with some new speed bow and light arrows...?

Near as I can tell you need to be shooting about 700fps to get only 4" drop at 30yds. Now that's a FAST bow!!!

Nope, MN, one pin holding dead on out to 32yds, only 2" variance up and down.

Don't all bowtech's shoot that fast?
I think his bow was a Fred Bear Sparrowhawk. Ever heard of one???

I have one pin out to 30 yards. Couple inches high at 10, couple low at 30. My bow is shooting only 274fps. Remember that the arrow has an initial velocity in the positive z-direction and gravity must first bring that initial velocity to zero, and then it would begin to actually drop. I bet your calculations are not taking that into account.
