Default Blue Pee in snow??

I find this quite often while out shed hunting not sure what causes it?

it's either these guys, or you have Deer that are drinking All sport ........honestly, i have no idea kinda weird.

I was out last thursday with my son and we saw at least 8 of those blue pee spots. I know what red and green ones are from, but can't figure out the blue!!??

Not sure if true or not but I've heard it's from them eating buckthorn when their food supply is low.

I've never seen it - hardly ever see snow in these parts, for that matter - but I've read it's caused by deer eatingberries from buckthorn or red cedar.
