Woke up yesterday morning and looked out my window. I saw a flock of eight or so ducks get off my pond, they flew right next to the house and all of the sudden, a Bald Eagle drops out of the sky and grabs a drake right in front of me. What a show that was, I sang the National Anthem.

They are truly a majestic sight. I'm fortunate enough to have a good number of them spend the Winter about 25 miles or so West of me along the Illinois and Mississippi rivers. It is easy to see why they were chosen as our National Bird.
