Went and shot a shoot over the weekend and shot with 2 guys shooting thebowtech 82nd or whatever the name is. Both were cranked down to 70-71 lbs, I shot my gaurdian at 62lbs and the other guy was shooting a Hoyt catara( I don't know how to spell It) and it was set at 60 lbs. Every single target the Hoyt was sinking the arrows at least 2-4 inches farther than all the rest. My Gaurdian was by far the quietist, but I was sure impressed with the power of the Hoyt. It sure seemed to be awful quick.

Hoyt makes great bows, but a lot of things come into play in sinking arrows further into a target. I doubt it can produce any more KE than the 82nd is capable of, all things being equal
Dan, what speeds does the 82nd hold @ 7 gpp? Not mathmatically, but actual....have you, or anyone, tested that yet? I'm just curious...
Don, I have not tested that. My 82nd is 60# and only 28" draw. I have a 497 grain arrow I've been planning on sending over the Chrono just haven't done it yet. That would be over 8gpp. My 82 at 5.4 gpp is producing over 68# KE and like I said that's at 28" 60#
The other day we noticed that my buddies 70 lb. Switchback was not driving arrows into the Block 4X4 quite as far as my 60 lb. Hoyt Protec. We both shoot the same arrows - except that mine are 400 series and his are 340's. I'm sure his bow is going at least 20 fps more than mine.

My darton avalanche puts them deep into the target. Deeper than my buddies Mathews Legacy which is set 16lbs heavier (73 vs.57). I don't know what arrows he shoots, but he even noticed that my darton has a hell of a punch.
