Default MADE SOME NEW GRIPS FOR MY BOW

Been having trouble sending pics so I thought I would try again. Just completed these last week.

Looks great, How did you make them? Just take a sander after a chunk cut out to the right demension wood or what?? That could be one of my wood tech projects for school!

I took a peice of 1X4 walnut cull lumber about 6" long, cut itthrough the middle so to have two thin pieces. Used the old grips as a patteren and traced it onto the wood. Then truned a belt sander up side down and began sanding until getting close. Then kept laying the wood on the notched out spot on the bow riser, marked it, sanded some more until it fit tightly. You can custom sand the top to fit how you like. Apply whatever type finish you like, I used gun stock finish on mine. It's not too hard of a job just a little time consuming.

Hope this helps

Ed
