I'm getting a new bow for my son, possibly the Diamond Edge at 30 to 40 pounds. He can pull back 31 but right now I think he probably is most comfortable at 25 pounds. If I get the 30 to 40 pound bow, is it possible to back it off to somewhere in between 25 and 30 pounds for the time being?

RE: I almost forgot to ask
I would be careful going to much less than the 30# minimum .... one of the techies on here will chime in, I'm sure .....

It is not safe to back it lower than what it states.I wouldnt do it, especially if its my son..hell i wouldnt do it to my own bow. Just get him to hit the gym anf he'll be fine..
Yes you can very safely back that bow down a few pounds below 30. Three full turns and it will likely be below 30 pounds any way.
