Default 85 grain, 100 grain, 125 grain

I'm pretty new to bow hunting and when I bought my bow and had it set up, my bow guy at the store recommended using 85 gr. broad heads (G5 Montec). What is the main difference betwee different grains, and what are the pros and cons of one over the other?

I shoot a 125 grain BH. It fits my set up better being I shoot 2216 arrows and pull allot of pounds. I like a heavier set up. It really depends on how your bow is set up.

These are several factors to consider when deciding on head weight. You want the best weight for your set-up.
The head will need to keep you in the correct spine range for your set-up, and give you a good FOC (front of center) approx 9%-13% is a good range for hunting in my opinion.
Sometimes a couple of the different weights will accomplish this then it comes down to what weight flies better and personal preference.

I think almost everyone shoots 100gr these days. That's all I've ever shot, considering 75/85gr for antelope/smaller game, though feel 100gr can handle anything. No real reason to shoot anythign else. 100gr are like a .30-06 or even better than!

Like archer125 said. It depends on a multitude of factors.

Draw length
Draw weight
finished arrow length
type of cam on the bow
weight of the arrow before the tip is added
vanes or feathers
mechanical release or fingers
speedrating of the bow

Depends on your set up...I have shot several bucks with 125 grain thunderheads with 2413, 2314 and 2315 arrows.

but this is out of my bow try each one in yours and then use your fav. (most people go with 100 gr.)

Definately a difference, I shoot 100 grains because the bowhunting world is rather racist to the others. As far as I know or have seen.
