Default RE: Ok Ethics Police ........2 Part Question .................................................

One time a couple years ago my neighbor let some guys hunt and they shot a button buck right near the property line and it ran farther onto our property. We were a little upset that they took the shot and went and got the deer without asking but we didn't get mad about it. Then the very next year, a guy that we let hunt on our property shot a big 8 point and it ran onto their property. So in the end it worked out fine and we actually have permission to hunt the land next to ours now.

Ill be the first to bite,

1. No I don't shoot....besides that, I wouldn't even hang a stand where I would have the temptation.

2. Get the deer, flip it over the fence, and don't tell no one if the guy is that pig of a prick that he would make you leave the deer to rot. It would befar worse to leave a deer laying simply because you are afraid of some guy. Also, if I thought there was eventhe smallest, remote chance to reason with the guy, I would call him first without a doubt....IDK why, but I believe VERY few people would not allow you to cross the fence for 10 yards, especially if you had a blood trail proving it was killed on your property.
yep same idea for me, i know it is against the law, but i want my deer. but i wouldnt ever have that problem because i hunt public land

It's JUST a deer.
Yep, but not to some people. Hell, they will trespass to get a damn antler. Then these same people will make thread after thread about people coming onto their land without permission.

32 pages, and no, I did not read it all. No point. 92% fall in the pre-meditated sin category of breaking the law. Oh well, we can always repent later. Right Preach?

LT

By the way, I really believe it is a stupid thing that anyone would let an animal rot, whether doe or buck.jmho

I would like to think I would not shoot onto someones property, but honestly I not 100% SURE.I would recover my downed deer and take whatever may happen if caught.

if he deer is on his land you cant shoot. you can still make a bad shot a hundred yards from the line and still have tofind a way to recover the deer. dnr.

Well, this is certainly a horse of a different color, unlike the antler scenerio! In THIS case, I do consider it trespassing/illegal/wrong, and wouldn't do any of the things described. I also wouldn't put myself in such close proximity to a property line, as to bring on such a situation! See Chris, I'm not such a bad guy, am I?

John .... I am a converted man! Ihate it when I can't wriggle out of reason [&o]. I wouldn't touch that antler, nor would I get the deer ......... now. I just can't justify tromping on someone else's rights to getwhat I want ...... I would go and tell the guy that, and hope that maybe some sense would get in him ....

as far as the Avatar ..... I've never looked so good
