Stopped by a farm yesterday. I have always wanted to hunt this farm. I am going to leave it nameless, just incase any NJ hunters live near it . I get to talking with the old man. GREAT guy. He owns about 20 acres, but it backs to well over 200 acres of Township land that is OFF LIMITS to hunting. (probably a few people sneaking on with climbers).

Anyway, everytime I drive past this piece, I look at it and think, PERFECTION. I ask him if it would be ok to come look for antler sheds, he tells me..."SURE, you can hunt here too, if you'd like. I see 15-20 Turkey every morning in that back field"......

So, not that we can hunt all 200+ acres, but those deer are relatively left alone, so if he allows us to plant a food plot in that empty back field(about 6 or 7 acres), we will be able to set ambush stands !!! The doe bed up on a ridge and it would be so perfect. Cant wait to scout it.

Sometimes, it actually works !!
I hate you!! Just joking, sounds like a sweet spot and good luck with it.

Like it wasn't bad enough tha most of our seasons ended forever ago and you have still been hunting now you go and rub salt in the wound with this new pice of land. Thanks a lot.
