Default Who's going trad, this season?

I gotta give Matt/PA a lot of credit in one thing......he made a decision to hunt with his traditional bow in PA this year.....and stuck to it. Of course....the only thing funny about that is.....he only had to stick to it one day.

But the point is.....he committed to it. I remember him saying he was walking out the door saying...."I'm REALLY gonna do this".

Kudos.

I'm gonna take the plunge, myself. My compound isn't going to se the woods until I have a traditional kill, this year.

Who's with me?....lol Seriously.....who's going "more" trad, this year? Greg (tx)? Rybo? BigJ? Someone else???

Jeff,

You bet I'll be out this year with my recurve. I've been shooting it the most latelyand I'm getting ready for the fall. I've really never put it down but I've only shot it for funbecause it's what I started out shooting in 1973. Now that I've decided to hunt with it, I'mreally concentrating on my form and shooting in more"hunting like" positions.

I don't know if I'll go as far as to say I'll hunt with it exclusively because some of my stands I'd rather shoot a compound for various reasons, but I'll hunt with it a lot this year. In fact, I've already scouted an area where I'll only use my trad bow in.

Yep. I'm on board.....can't wait.

I am having a longbow built up, plus a new Elite Fire on the way...so, I'll be doing both.

I won't be going trad exclusively till I put a P&Y buck on the wall, but I may take one out a few times this year during the "October Lull" to sit on the plots with and maybe get a poke at a doe with.
