When do you like to start shed hunting?

I dont start until the middle of March here in Illinois.

This year, hopefully in march....but we keep getting more[&:]..over 2 feet total on the ground many places here.

Usually here in IA, about this time. The vast majority of antlers are gone by now no matter how mild the winter.

i usually start when the snow is just startin to melt that way its easier to see the antlers...and its about the time they start dropping them....

When my trail cam tells me to

Usually not till late Feb, but this year it seems they are shedding early. I have alredy found quite a few...

yeah same here to an extent.....2 weeks ago every buck on camera had both antlers....this week i had at least half with both antlers still and the rest were shed or had one antler

Last year i had a 2.5 yr old still carrying both sides on April 7th!

I was getting ready to post the same question really havent had much luck ever finding sheds but have to move some stands around soon and was going to do some searching. I am from MD close to the PA line when do they usually drop around here guys. There is no snow on the ground right now we really havent had any.

i started a few weeks ago but now with 2 - 3 feet of snow, it looks like it will be a couple months till I look again.
