I was kind of thinking about that too.

Im going to be new with a bow this year, and I thought maybe trying to shoot something like a squirrel, and having to concentrate on such a little target, that it would maybe help me with deer hunting come Fall.

I use a set at 55#with Bludgeon or Judo points.I like to use my treestand and setup in any nut bearing woods or along cornfields that have some tree cover.

Its actually pretty fun, tests your skills and you get a tastey reward.

I would suggest using, old, retired, or whatever else arrows. Using your good deer arrows gets way too expensive.

I Agree, take plenty of arrows and shoot downward so your arrows dont get burried under the ground
