Good information. I am glad the author made a point to mention antlers when aging a buck. I've taken mature whitetail bucks that didn't have good racks at all. A friend of mine also took his first Pope and Young class whitetail buck that was aged at 2 1/2 by the dnr. 22" inside spread. I'd say they were pretty accurate on his buck, teeth were in good shape with hardly any worn.
