Default Browning Myst

So, I got my oldest son a new bow last June. He was 5'9, now he is 6'2, so again time for a new bow. I was at the shop this past Saturday and they recommended a Browning Myst. The son and I both shot it, it was smooth drawing, quiet, and almost no hand shock. For the money, seemed like a pretty good bow. I am considering buying him a new Mathews DXT like mine, but don't know that I am ready to drop that kind of money on a bow for a 14 year old. The shop owner is a friend of my, so he is offering this Browning at $100.00 the tag price, normally $450 now $350. I was hoping to find someone on here who knows a little bit about this bow and find some of the pro's and con's before making my decision. Thanks in advance.

Nothing wrong with the Myst or any other of theBrowning Line. When I was looking for another bow, my top three were the Browning Vapor, the Fred Bear Code and the Mathews Switchback LD. All of them shot very well.

I think the added bonus of being able to adjust the Myst without the needfor modules or even a press is a plus for a growingboy. If it shotgood for him I'd say go for it, especially at that price.

Iv been owning a Myst for a little over a year now and i can say that it is a good bow for the price. Of course it cant compete with higher end models, but for the low price tag its a good investment for a younger shooter. although i had some tunning problems my pro shop figured out what was wrong and now it shoots exactly where the pin is placed. My only major complaint is the low let off and the wide grip. other than that the browning myst is a great bang for your buck.
