Default To expound on Scott's questions.....

How many Mature bucks did you see in your last season afield?

I saw ONE.

How many mature bucks do you average seeing in a normal season?

I've seen exactly 2 in three seasons......so<1/season.

How many mature bucks have you had in range in your BOWhunting career?

Again.....I've killed the only two I've ever seen.

1. None this season with the EHD epidemic that put a dent in the herd, seen three bucks the whole season (that is not normal around here) , i killed one of them.

2. usually see around three to four 3.5 or older

3. Im guessing eight to ten, but being in bow range does not always mean getting the shot

How many Mature bucks did you see in your last season afield?

Seven up until I hurt myself in early November.

How many mature bucks do you average seeing in a normal season?

I would say 1-7 each year.... Average of 3-4?

How many mature bucks have you had in range in your BOWhunting career?

Off the top of my head I would say 13. Most being borderline "shooters" (couldn't think of a better word) Of that 13, 2 encounters were the same buck.

The one I got, I only bow hunted 3 days last season.

How many mature bucks do you average seeing in a normal season?

4 to 5

How many mature bucks have you had in range in your BOWhunting career?

15 or so that I let go and 5 others I couldn't get a shot off through out the years. Reason being I let them go was that they were in that 120" to 130" range not knowing if they were going to make books and also knowing I had bigger bucks in the woods. The 5 other's that I mentioned earlier were mature bucks that I planned on shooting and all were within 15 yards but it didn't work out. These top end bucks are something else, they have that 6th sense if you know what I mean!!

In the last four bow seasons, I have seen a total of two mature bucks, but there's a caveat:

One was in Illinois where you are SUPPOSED to see mature bucks.

The other wasn't really mature but it was a monster for around here. He was a 120" 2.5 year old.

I've seen some MONSTER button bucks though.....
