Default how big of a freezer do i need.

Next season i will be in the same area for the first time two years in row

I missed two deer this year and really think next season is my year.
In Indiana i can get four deer in my county.

I hope my dad hunt aswell. I think i have talked him into it
Which would give us up to 8 deer for the season which i am sure will be alot less. But i plan on spending the next 10 years or more here. so one day i plan on filling my freezer.

How big of a freezer should i buy. I will use it for deer maybe turkey and rabbit maybe alittle vegs. from a garden but not much of any. due to the fact i have one small upright freezer.

I found a 20 cubic feetGE freezer for 650 it is a chest freezer is it big enough for say 4 deer a year

alsoshould i get a upright or a chest freezer for my deer

As big as possible....
Watch the papers for good deals
We have two:
The upright is for my wife's stuff...
And the chest is for my game stuff...
But we normally only keep 1 or 2 deer..the rest is give'n to friends or donated ...

I can get 2 deer in a 5 cu ft freezer. I would suggest getting at leasta 20. Another hint is t fill up water jugs and freeze them and fill the excess area with them. remove them as you fill with deer. The ice will keep the freezer cold so it wont run as often. this will save on your ele. bill. and if you go camping you wont have to buy ice for your coolers. Get a freezer big enough for those trophy heads!

You should be fine with 25... Mine is only like 8 cubic ft and right now it has an entire deer + 2 rear unboned shanks and the head ofa buck in it...and there is still room for more

Our up right is 15 cubic feet and you could easily fit 2 deer in that thing...

Your freezer size should be selected based on the average size of the poachers in your area, then multiply by two. This way others will learn that it isn't worth to go on your land because you won't be seen again.

i currently have 5 deer in my freezer. In addition to the freezer, I'd STRONGLY recommend a vaccuum sealer.
