So just to get a little conversation going, what is your favorite weather condition to bowhunt the rut?
Please share stories, reasons why you like said weather condition, etc.
I'm a fan of light snow fall. I've always had better deer sightings with a light snow and killed my first deer (gun season however) in a light snow. It's beautiful to watch snowfall from stand, especially when the deer are out and about!

I like a Cold Crisp morning with a light snow begining to fall. I like this even better when the first heavy snow of the year is just hours away. This means there is a good chance that the deer will be out and about after food before the storm. Then i like to be int the treestand when the storm quits if this happens in daylight cuz the deer will really be moving then!!!

I like it like this. I saw the biggest buck of my life stick his head out from between these two spruces while hunting Alberta. I love the snow/cold for the rut, which we don't get in Pa.
