Default sheds

It appears the bucks are starting to drop. Yesterday I saw 3 deer in a group. One was a decent 8, one was a fork & the third had no antlers but appeared to be the same size as the 8. I am assuming it was a bachelor group. I did spend sometime in the woods but didn't find any antlers. I also have seen a coulpe of half racks lately but of course those could have been broken as both were on the run and I didn't get that good a look at them.

I saw 4 bucks near Raleigh, NC.....Thursday evening. They were maybe 50yds off the roadway.....and all 4 still had both sides.

I won't start looking, here, until sometime in March.

Jeff-

When I killed my 6 pointer in the Urban season it came by with a big 8 (or 4 depends on how you look at it)that was missing one side. It was a clean shed.

I'm told that the sheds are starting to hit the snow already here in WI. I haven't gotten out yet, but I plan on doing a bit of walking around on Fri. so we'll see. Hopefully I can post some success pics!

Man I'm dying to hit the woods to look for some horn. I found one last weekend, but I still haven't had a good solid time to go.

We kicked our shed season off Saturday. Was a balmy 8 below but no wind. Actually was not bad at all !! Was good to be out tromping about!!

Saw a lot of bucks still carrying but found 9 for the day. Tyler picked up a good 5 pt that went 64 4/8. My first shed of the year was also a 5 pt that went 68 1/8. We were pretty happy for the first outing.
