Default Feral Hog and 2 skunks with my Bear Element

I just killed a Feral Hog @ 64 yards, And 2 skunks, one@ 43 and one @ 17 yards, with my Bear Element. Ill post up pics tomorrow cause its dark now. Ill tell you what now, that Element did a # on those critters, the hog ran approx. 35 yards after a double lung shot. One skunk was drilled to the ground and the other actually ran after a frontal chest shot<(its a huge skunk and Im gonna have him mounted). Theres still another hog on the loose so Im gonna try for him tomorrow after school, Ive gotta pretty good idea of where hes bedded. Wish me luk.lol[&:]

Congrats! How bad was the odor when you recovered your arrows and skunk[:'(]? I was sprayed once when my dog cornered one. That was brutal.

That arrow will be washed a few billion times before I ever nock it again. I am going out now to go and set up on that bedding area to get that other one. I didnt want that one skunk that close, I popped over a ridge chasing that hog and boom there he was. Well better hed out now before he leaves his spot. Its getting darker , its 56 degrees with no wind so it should be perfect. So see you later...........

Wow - that's a pretty long shot for any big game animal. Did you use an expandable or a fixed blade for the hog?

I used Grim Reaper Razortip expandable. They can be used both as mechanical and expandable. Ive shot them mechanical in the past and was succesful with them but I got to shooting them expandable and like them a little better. That 64 yarder was a crazy long shot with a bow but that feral was standing completley broadside and was lokking right at me. Thank the lord for my Nikon Range Finder, I was estimating about 65-70 yards, but with that rangefinder Im much more comfortable with shots. You wanna know something funny, Im the only one in the family to kill a skunk with my bow as well as a feral hog, And Im only 15. Pretty cool to me. I havent got that other one yet but Im not giving up yet.

Good luck kid!! Sounds like a good shot. Keep after that hog. Where you located anyway. No hogs here in IL, sure would give me something to go for after deer season.
