Default Merriam's or Rio Turkey Bowhunt?

So I have my turkey slam goals list....and this is the year I have to have a rio or merriams turkey by, not sure I want to hire an outfitter etc....I live in IL, and wouldn't mind a hunt somewhere in the midwest, hopefully not too far of a drive...anyone out there with some land/turkey hunting opportunity? Anyone taken one with a bow? consistently? Would love an invite or at least some info.

Go to Nebraska. Lots of public land, and a lot of people willing to let you hunt for nothing.
