Default Archery turkey contest....Is this dead?

I saw a post here a week or so ago about the possibility of holding an archery tackle turkey contest. If I'm not mistaken.....the trad guys have their own bowhunting contest that runs in conjunction witht he standard bowhunting contest.

Can't we have an archery tackle turkey contest? Is anyone gung-ho enough to run it?

Any rules we'd need to address?

There is a pretty good list of folks that joined up on the contest in the Turkey Forum if thats what your talking about! I don't think they're doing 2 contests but I could be wrong! Good Luck with the birds this Spring!

I'll probably join that one, too, BHF......but I was talking about a contest JUST for archery tackle (turkey hunting).

The trad guys have their own bowhunting contest (I think). So I assume we could have an archery only turkey contest. Just wondering, though.

I would suppose the big issue would be.....who's interested in running it?

I thought there was a rule of not being able to be in two contests at once, on HNI. I could be wrong, it's happened. If thats the case, I think it would really take away from the "turkey hunting forum" contest.

Nope. You could be in the deer hutning contest and the bowhunting contest.

You could be in both turkey contests.

I stand corrected. I'd be in on both contests, then.

This is not so. There is ONE Bowhunting contest that all weapons ie, crossbow, traditional and compound are welcome in.
NO seperate traditional contest, no seperate crossbow contest, we all unite for one contest.

I'm in the turkey hunting contest in the turkey forum.

OK, Rob. I stand, corrected.

But if there were an interest....why couldn't we have an archery only turkey contest?

We have people signed up in the deer hunting contest and the bowhunting contest.
