I have a diamond marquis shooting 300-305 fps, I just purchased some goldtip xt camo hunter 5575 that weigh 8.6 grain per inch, is this a heavy enough arrow shoot with this bow. And will it have enough kinetic energy

The spec you give does not help. You need to know draw length, poundage of the bow, head weight (really total arrow weight), spine of the arrow. Don't just buy arrows, buy the right ones, do your research before you buy.

For what, your average deer or a rhino? I can't think of a modern bow out right now with any arrow that would spine right for it that would not have enough KE to effectively harvest a deer. Especially if you have a normal draw length and draw at least 50 lbs of peak draw weight.

That 300-305 fps, is that what the bow is rated at for IBO specs, or what you are actually shooting with your set up?

As far what KE you would have we would need to know more info, like how long the arrows are, what sort of fletchings they have, tip weight (or the total weight of your finished arrows) and the exact speed YOUR set up shoots them.

My guess is a 29" arrow at 8.6 gpi,with vanes, 100 gr. tip is pushing 400 gr. total wt. at 70# DW, and 30" DL you should be safe, as to shooting the speeds you listed if they are your IBO for your bow you would have to shoot a 350 gr. arrow to get close to those speeds

The IBO speed of the Marquis is 316-324 fps.

Jeremy you do need to know your speed and total arrow weight to come up with an accurate KE figure
