Default Got me thinking.....

A thread that someone posted earlier about using their bow 7 years in a row got me thinking.....

Now of course there are tons of awesome bows out there on the market today...but we cant all just go out a buy a new Drenalin or Guardian whenever we catch a notion....alot of people use "older bows" and there is no doubt that they will-get the job done-

But my question is this....Can you present me with a hunting situtation where having a new or expensive bow/equipment would make the difference in you making the kill?

Of course these new bowscan beinsanely fast and quiet, but many deer have fallen victim to 200 fps bows with vitually no let-off

Just a tought i had...

Of course not..........I guess you could say it makes it easier because the newer gear shoots flatter out farther and is most likely quieter.

Other then that...........it's all on you man.

320fps means nothing if you can't hit where you aim.

A deer will fall to a 30-30 the same as a 300 WSSM.

It's all about making the shot.........no matter what is in your hands.

Yeras ago when I shot a proline guessing yardage was huge today fast bows can give one a chance to kill a deer even when ouryardage estimateis off a little. In my youth there where no range finders what a drag glad we have now.

I can somewhat answer my own question...

My first bow was a Browning Stalker (ancient). And the first deer i shot with it was asmall 7 pt (man was i pumped)...but here's what happened...the arrow didn't pass all the way through, and the blod trail was minimal...although i did retrieve the deer, it was a pretty difficult track....now it is much easier to find game with a new, fasterbow, lighter, shorter arrows, and better broadheads

Maybe that helps you understand what i was getting at...
