digital trail cameras?

Opinions? I am looking to add one. I currently have a leaf river w/ a built in viewer. I am not impressed w/ the viewer as w/ most digital cameras it is to small to be of much use. I have looked at various ones @ the local Gander mtn and it seems you can spend about anything you want to. I don't feel like I would be interested in the video options & would just as soon get something that would take decent pictures, be dependable & easy to operate.

If you are not looking to use video but have great quality images the cuddeback excite would be a good camera to get....I have the expert model a step up from the excite and I love mine. My BIL has the excite and it takes great quality images. They are on sale for $250.00 right now.

Homebrew with Pixcontroller board or yeti board and s-40 camera works great! Way better than factoiry made cams.

I like Homebrew. Use pixcontroller board or Yeti board...these cameras are awesome with Sony S40 Cybershot digital camera....

i have not used other cameras besides Stealth cam's so my opinion may be biest...but i am very pleased with them and there digitals..i have two of the I390's and use the 6V rechargable battery...it will last about 30-45 days in the woods !!! just my 2cents

If you aren't into the homejobs these guys mentioned, for about $300 you can't beat the Moultrie I-40.

We used them last year with great results. It's got good picture quality, decent trigger, long battery life,
infared works well, apparently solved white-out problem (1 out of 150 pics or so), fairly easy to program/understand.

I thought you were kidding around...I always wanted to try a moultrie but I really don't have to worry about not having enough money that's why I bought the cuddeback. You usually get what you pay for.

to each his own.....find something you like and stay with it...Stealth works wonders for me!
