I'm looking for a great 4 blade broadhead. I used the Wasp Boss SST 3 Blade this past year and was fortunate enough to take 3 deer and a gobbler, but the blood trails were poor and have been for the last several years. I do not want to use a mechanical head. I make sure my bow is tuned each season. I think 4 blades will give me better blood trails. I am between the Muzzy MX-4 100 grain, Slick Trick Magnum or Standard 100 grain, and Wasp Boss 4 blade. I want a head accurate to 50+ yards even though I won't shoot at deer at that range. What do you all think?
I used the muzzy mx-4 100 this year and really liked it. I tried out a bunch of fixed heads to see which one was the most consistent. I never tried the slick trick but that was going to be my next move. After shooting the muzzy, I decided to stay right there. I took two doe with the muzzy this year, and it left a great blood trail. However, I didn"™t need to use it, because I was fortunate enough to see them fall.
Good luck,
KP

I change broadheads every year, for reasons unknown to even myself. Sometimes, I even change in the middle of the season.3 years ago I shot Muzzy and did kill a doe w/ one. I was just never really happy with them. But, dead deer.
Last year I shot Magnus Stingers. Incredible blood trails, ( I shot 4 deer with them that year) and they fly perfectly. If it's possible, I think they fly better than a field point.
This year I shot my buck w/ a 3 blade Rage. I don't need to say anything about them, there's been enough reviews here.
Then I grabbed a pack of Slick Tricks and busted a doe. I will not be changing heads next year. I shot her w/ the 100 grain magnum, and was astonished, to say the least. BIG hole, and just an incredible blood trail. That's what I'll be shooting next year, though I was given a pack of Hypershock at the ATA show I will likely try out.
There's much more to a blood trail than the broadhead, but it does make a difference. One word. SHARP. The sharper the better.

RE: Best 4-Blade Broadhead
I have never tried the Slick Tricks, but my vote for best 4-blade is Magnus Stinger .... AWESOME broadhead ....

the best? slick trick wins hands down, they fly great and make a hell of a hole, and the price is right

I have used Muzzy's, Thundeheads and ST's! For my setup the ST's were the best flying head and I have really liked the way they perform! I'll have the ST's and Rage 2 blade in my Quiver again for next deer season!
