deer or another big game animal

My dad said something about buying me a outfitter guided hunt next season. So i can get in with someone and get some experience and a kill.

I deer hunt and in Indiana deer is about it.
My question is should i go for a deer hunt or something i can not get hear in Indiana say a bear or elk.
I love deer hunting but for the money i think i would like to go after a animal i can not hunt in Indiana.

what would you do

I have some extremely good deer hunting here in Illinois. I have the privelage to hunt 775 acres of private ground so paying to hunt deer really makes no sense to me. Even if I went to Iowa or Kansas, its not gonna be any better really so another species would be my choice. I would go for either elk or moose personaly.

I would go for another species also. Personally i would go for an elk, or muley. A bear hunt would be a blast too though.

I dont have much experice on the subject but if it was me i would be going for something else that i dont have around my house. the only place i have hunted for big game out side of my state of missouri is in colorado for elk.Ihunted with some great friends and had a great time but i didnt have a guide and it was great. i thank that if i had a guide i would have had just as much fun with a greater chance to kill one. and to ad that i gun hunted when i was there.

If you have the chance to go on an elk hunt out west I would jump all over that.

You can hunt deer at home by yourself anytime you want. An archery elk hunt in the mountains of the western US would be a dream come true for me.

I would definitely go for something other than whitetail.

I would go for something besides deer, because you never know when your next chance might be to hunt another species.

If the funds are there, I recomend chasing caribou in quebec with a bow. It's a once in a lifetime hunt and a memory that my father and I will have forever. (Also, if your dad hunts, convince him if you can, to come with).
