Hope you all understand the joy I am typing this with. My son has finally taken deer hunting seriously this year after years of being mostly interested in doing other things. He has never shown the patience needed for deer hunting or much interest. Being he now lives and works farther away, he could only manage to hunt a few weekends this season but really has taken to it, especially since several of the guys he works with bowhunt. He is a good shot and we've gone to a few 3D shoots over the years, especially this season. Anyway, I roust him up this morning and ask if he wants to give it a shot. He has seen a lot of deer this year and I've always tried to put him in the best place.
This morning he had deer come into the woods just as he was readying to get in the stand. 6 in all, but couldn't get a shot. He decided to stay on the ground and hid by some old logs. Long story short, he had 15 does and one small buck in his vicinity this morning. He nailed this doe at 12 yds. from the ground while standing between two trees. I am pumped!

I think he is finally hooked and its his first deer ever. We took a few pics, he tagged it, field dressed her and he is getting the doe processed. He will eat pretty good this winter, and have lasting memories of our bowhunting adventures from this season. Hopefully we can hunt together for many more seasons.
