I have here in Illinois, but doubt I will everagain because the buck/doe ratio in the areas I hunt seem badly out of whack this season. Plus its mature bucks or no bucks from here on.Heck, I haven't even taken one buck this season[&:].

I have not! The units I hunt here in Wisconsin only allow 1 Buck with Bow and 1 Buck with Gun! My place in Michigan is a different story, 2 bucks with bow but I haven't killed a buck with my bow there yet!

I have Tony. And with just under 3 weeks left I plan to do it once again.

And Happy New Year to you and your family Fraley.

Last year I scored 2 nice bucks within 2 weeks of eachother during the rut here in november. Where I live we are inundated with deer, and it is a bow only county. Therefore the DEC issues guaranteed doe tags. Unfortunately those doe tags, if filled, are renewed as either sex tags, resulting in the possibility of shooting 6 bucks legally. To get the either sex tag, you must bring the tagged doe head to a check station where they age it and then issue you the new tag. It's not uncommon to see headless road killed deer on the side of the road, obviously the sign of a not so ethical hunter in the want for a either sex tag. Probably so he can go shoot another year and a half fork horn or spike.

in 2000, i harvested a 3 point (my first bowkill) on opening day, a 7 point a few days later, and a big 8 point the first day of rifle season with my bow.

Only one allowed in NY - unless you take one with a bow on your Shotgun License -which would be legal.

I've never done that -
