Default is a martin jaguar a good bow?

I am currently looking to purchase a Martin Jaguar. Is this a good good bow for a novice like myself or is there ant other models I should consider?

Yup. These shoot very well, at least for me. Others you might want to consider would be a Martin Bengal or one of the 2007 Fred Bear bows like the Instinct, Element, or Code.

Yes I beleive so 100%...Just by luck I picked up a Martin Jaguar as my first bow...Shoots 300 fps and was very quiet...These things didnt mean much to me when I first got it cause I didnt know what the hell everyone was talking about, I thought a bow was a bow....I shot 1 buck and 2 doe's before I upgraded....On 1 of my doe's, I tokk a 43yd shot with a clean pass thru.....Bottom line, its a great first bow for the money

For the money ($219.00) you're really hard pressed to find a better bow. I hunted with one for several years and took several animals with it. It performed well and I still have it as a back-up. If tuned properly it will definitely perform well for you.
