Default Arrow Refletching

Hey everyone, I just started refletching my own arrows and I can put the vanes on well and all but im having problems cleaning the old off. When I get arrows back from the local archery shop they look like its brand new. I wondered what do I use to clean off the old vanes and glue and stuff to make my arrows look like new for when I put the new ones on? Like is there a certain process I should do or what? and I use Easton St Epic 400 arrows if that helps at all.

A lil bit of comet and a scouring pad under runnin water should do the trick. then make sure they are completely dry b4 refletching

Scrape off the old feather/vane with a clean, sharp razor blade and then clean the shaft with denatured alchohol or mineral spirits. Let the shaft dry and then re-fletch your arrow!

I use nail polish remover. If you use a razor blade make sure you aren't cutting into the arrow if you use carbons

I started fletching my own arrows a few years ago---better than taking your arrows into a pro-shop and paying for it. Also, it lets you experiment with different fletch types to see what flies best, etc. It is fun. I scrape off the arrow with a sharp razorblade, and make sure with the carbon arrows that I am not cutting into the arrow.

That's the reason I use arrow wraps. Take them off under hot water or steam them off and your arrow has no glue on it.
