got to close today
i got to close today,i tried stalking up the mtn. behind my house. when i got close to the top, i saw a bedded doe and a smaller one eating about 60 yrds away. i take 4 steps to crest the mtn. and then i see ears. a huge doe about 10 yrds away, i didnt shoot because she was quartering to me. so i wait for a broadside shot and she turns and i draw. then a doe jumps out of this thick stuff 5 yrds from me and all the deer take off. talk about heart pounding WOW! i almost crapped myself when that doe jumped out of the thick stuff.i did this before and shot a big doe. give stalking and still-hunting a try, you wont regret it!
