wow thatdoes seem likea long time. maby he was one of your top breeders and stressed from the rut trying to rebound fat loss for the winter. its gotta be nice watching hi though do you have some nasty weather coming??
From my trail cameras and feeder pics over the years I would say it is very common. Deer eat all night, laying down for a spell to chew the cudd.
