Default Anybody shoot in video leagues?

I know that it doesn't compare to 3D, but do any of you guys shoot in video leagues to get through the winter months?

IUSED to.......... BUT I got away from it because video shooting teaches a lot of bad habits! Sure its fun to do every now and then, but dont get hooked because when you go back to shooting outside in the spring you will find at least I did that you will be less accurate!!

Simply because there is the small window of time that you can make the perfect shot, you will rush the shot, learn bad release habits, etc.....!

Hey have fun with it but I wouldnt get carried away.

I do it every year to get through the winter months. It is easy to develop some bad habits, but if you pay attention to what your doing you can minimize them.

I have not seen one of these yet. Why not just shoot indoor? (Just curious.)

I would be into shooting indoor, but I am not sure if there is a location near me to do such. Anybody in central PA know if there is?

Up here in NW Pa we are pretty lucky. We have one proshop that has indoor 3-D shooting along with video and there are 2 other shops that have indoor paper ranges and the video archery shoots and one of those has 3-D archery shoots(outdoor) all spring summer and early fall.

Ben, Gander offers both paper and 3D later on, Suttons archery over in Benton has paper leagues, Millers up in Mill Hall I believe has paper. There is a video league in Watsontown, if you can brave the cold, Sones archery has 3D animals up outside all winter, We should get together for some shooting.

Def Rob, Actually, I just need one more guy for the watsontown league, you in? Not sure what night it will be yet. PM me if you are in. Also, I have got enough stuff out of the basement to get an 18 yard shot off, been working a target over. Let me know
