Default That's all, folks.

Well, I called it a season today.

No deer for me this year. The season wasn't completely unsuccessful, depending on how you want to look at it. I passed up several bucks this year that I would have shot in a heartbeat in previous years. With little to no rut activity, the deer have seemed to go nocturnal on me. Season ends at dark tonight, but I have to work 2-10.

The Allegiance is up for sale, so we'll see what next fall brings.

Thanks for all the support this year, guys. Good luck to everyone still out there.

No bucks for me. I did get a nice mature doe. I'm not giving up yet. There's still some late rut activity here with some new scrapes. I'll try to get out a couple of days a week in the eve.
Oh yeah I passed on 5 deer this year as well, all dinks!

Tough luck, Dan.....but like you said....it wasn't "unsuccessful". Let me know how you do on your bow....and what you end up buying.

I've already decided.

I'm going with a 50-60# Black Ice this year. Hopefully I can tweak it to about 62 or 63#.

I've shot a few of the new bows [General, Marquis, Katera, MOAB...] All were nice, but not nearly as smooth as what I'm wanting this year. Last year I went for speed, this year I'm wanting smooth. The Marquis almost fit the bill, but the ATA was a bit more than I was wanting.

It'll be interesting...

You didnt even shoot a DOE !!!????
We're only allowed one deer per year. I generally pass on does until the last few sits of the year. The last three times I've gone out I've seen a total of zero deer. Had a doe come along, I would have shot her, absolutely.

If Washington would allow us multiple deer, things would be different.

Thats to bad Dan, but its only unsuccessful if you did not enjoy yourself or learn something. You had a good year last year and hopefully you will have a better one next year!
